I paid for a $10k program that starts 4 days before my due date

I’m writing this 9 months pregnant. Due August 12th (today). Last week, I signed up for a $10K course that starts August 8th. My husband looked at me like I’d lost my mind. “You’re going to be in labor,” he said. “It’s fine,” I replied. “How hard can it be? I’ll watch the replay and do the assignment. Labor’s not a big deal.”

We’re both completely delusional.

We haven’t had a newborn in 5 years. We’ve forgotten how brutal that phase is. But here’s the thing: This “delusional” mindset is exactly why I’m successful. Plot twist- I paid for the course, but the creator told me to hold off LOL. And to reenroll in September (due to internal issue).

Normal people think: “I’ll wait until the timing is perfect”

  • I’ll start investing when I have more money
  • I’ll start a business when I have more time
  • I’ll take that course when life calms down
  • I’ll make that move when I’m more prepared

Rich people think: “There’s no perfect time, so I’ll start now”

Perfect timing is a myth. There will always be something:

  • You’re too busy with work
  • You just had a baby
  • The market is uncertain
  • You don’t have enough saved
  • Your family thinks you’re crazy

If you wait for perfect conditions, you’ll wait forever. The course I just bought teaches how to sell coaching programs without sales calls. Do I need this right now? Not really. My business is doing fine- steady. But I’m a growth junkie. I’m addicted to learning from people who’ve done what I want to do. Will it be inconvenient to do this while having a newborn? Absolutely. Will I get something valuable out of it anyway? 100%. This is how rich people think differently: We act with speed and execution, not perfect planning. We invest in ourselves even when (especially when) it’s inconvenient. We know that the best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now.

Everything school taught you is wrong:

School: Study → Prepare → Be Ready → Act Entrepreneurship: Act → Fail → Learn → Repeat School: Wait until you know everything Business: Start before you’re ready School: Follow the syllabus Wealth: Create your own curriculum The people crushing it in our Wealth Rx program? They don’t wait for perfect timing:

  • The PA who invested $30K in crypto while moving to a new city and changing jobs
  • The new grad who started aggressive debt payoff + investing while learning to learning medicine
  • The new PA mom who paid off her entire student loan while 7 months pregnant

They all started before they felt “ready.” My challenge to you: What are you waiting for perfect timing to start?

  • That investment you’ve been researching for months?
  • The side business you keep talking about?
  • The coaching program that could change your life?
  • The financial moves you know you should make?

Stop waiting. Start now. Will it be messy? Yes. Will it be inconvenient? Probably. Will you figure it out as you go? Absolutely. That’s how wealth gets built. Not through perfect planning, but through imperfect action. The worst case scenario: I have the baby during a live call and my team has to take over. So what? I’ll catch the replay. I’ll still learn something. I’ll still get value. The best case scenario? I learn something that makes me an extra $500K next year. Risk vs. reward? Easy decision. Your turn: What “delusional” move could you make today that your future self will thank you for? Stop overthinking. Start acting. The timing will never be perfect. But the results will be worth it.

Unconventionally Yours, Sam P.S. If you’re thinking “Sam, you’re crazy for doing this while pregnant,” you’re probably right. But crazy people change their lives. Sane people stay exactly where they are.
